2024-2025 Scholarship Packet
The purpose of the Derek J. Olivier Foundation of Louisiana Scholarship Program is to award a $1,000 scholarship to students that possess academic potential and a desire to succeed.
ELIGIBILITY:
To be considered for this scholarship, the applicant must:
- Be accepted to attend an accredited college, university, vocational school, or technical school in the Fall of 2025 as a full-time undergraduate student (12 semester hours).
- Have maintained a cumulative 2.5 GPA or higher based on up-to-date transcripts through March 2025.
- Complete an application and personal essay.
- Not have been previously awarded this scholarship and need-based.
SELECTION:
Scholarship applications will be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee of the Derek J. Olivier Foundation of Louisiana.
AWARD:
The Board will award a total of $5,000 in scholarships. A recipient will receive a $1,000 scholarship. Scholarship money can be used for any school-related expenses and will be mailed directly to the school where winner will be attending.
All applicants must submit:
- A completed application
- Acceptance letter to school attending in the fall with student ID number
- A copy of applicant’s latest transcript, reflecting a cumulative 2.5 GPA or higher based on transcripts for up-to-date through March.
- Two letters of reference
- A personal essay on topic provided
